Capital’s Global 50 Turkish Companies 2023 List announced: Kastamonu Entegre Ranks 17th in the Global Arena

A global leader in the wood-based panel industry, Kastamonu Entegre ranked 17th in Capital Magazine's "Global 50 Turkish Companies 2023" survey, affirming its international success. The corporation, which reached 40% foreign share in turnover thanks to its production facilities abroad, maintains its strong position. CEO Haluk Yıldız emphasized sustainable growth and innovation and stated that they will continue strategic investments to achieve future goals.

Kastamonu Entegre, the global brand in the wood-based panel industry, continued to overperform in the international arena by ranking 17th in the list of "The 50 Largest Turkish Companies Established Abroad in 2023" by Capital Magazine.

Kastamonu Entegre, Turkey's leading, Europe's third and the world's fourth largest wood-based panel producer, maintained its leading position in the industry in 2023 with its plants based in Romania, Bulgaria, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Italy and Russia. With a foreign share in turnover reaching 40%, the corporation solidified its competitive position in world markets thanks to its innovative product range and solid global operations.

“We have a stable growth rate”

Kastamonu Entegre’s CEO Haluk Yıldız remarked that they continue their strategic investments in line with commitment to enhance sustainable growth and competitiveness in global markets, and said, “Despite the changing economic conditions, we have a stable growth rate by continuing to enhance our investments and production capacity. We are taking firm steps towards the future with a total investment of 700 million dollars in the last decade. We aim to create new opportunities in line with the market dynamics we exist in. With our deep-rooted experience in the global wood-based panel industry, we continuously increase both our production capacity and brand value. Our ranking 17th in Capital's prestigious list is an indication of our global vision and the sustainable growth we achieve with our quality products. The success we have achieved in foreign markets gives us great motivation and belief in reaching our future goals.”

Yıldız continued his speech, saying: “We are a company that has grown through investments in a traditional industry. Our primary goals include making a difference in the industry by developing innovative products, modernizing our production processes through integration of the latest technologies and contributing to sustainable development on a global scale with high value-added production.”

Industry leader in the countries where it exists

Kastamonu Entegre continues to solidify its regional position by increasing its market share in Central and Eastern Europe through its investments abroad and offers its products to millions of users in 100 countries on six continents.

In 2017, the corporation started manufacturing in Italy upon acquisition of Gruppo Trombini, Italy's third largest particleboard producer, making it one of the largest Turkish investors in Italy with a 15% market share today.

Kastamonu Romania, located in Romania, is an important player in this arena with a 30% market share and manufactures door skins, particleboards and kitchen worktops worldwide. Kastamonu Bulgaria has an effective position in the Bulgarian market with a 33% market share, while Natron-Hayat in Bosnia and Herzegovina is the regional leader in kraft paper production. As the largest local kraft paper producer, the facility exports 95% of its goods to more than 70 countries. LLC Kastamonu Integrated, which is Kastamonu Entegre’s investment in Tatarstan of Russia, continues to lead the industry with 1 million m³ MDF production capacity per year and a 30% market share in MDF and laminate flooring product groups.

As the industry leader in Turkey with a 30% market share, Kastamonu Entegre has production facilities in 6 locations in Kastamonu, Gebze, Balıkesir, Samsun, Tarsus and Adana.
