15th Arkitera Awards presented at a ceremony supported by Kastamonu Entegre: Champions of architecture awarded
Kastamonu Entegre hosted the fifteenth Arkitera Awards ceremony organized by Arkitera Architecture Center this year. The Arkitera Client and Young Architect Awards were handed out at the ceremony held in the Auditorium in the Kastamonu Entegre headquarters building, designed by Sedad Hakkı Eldem and Hamdi Şensoy.
Kastamonu Entegre, the leading brand in the wood-based panel industry, has been a proud supporter of the Arkitera Awards since 2022, which play a key role in driving architectural production culture. The Arkitera Awards organized by the Arkitera Architecture Center to honor the qualified works in the Turkish architecture scene and the names behind such projects were presented to the winners in a ceremony held in the Auditorium of the Headquarters building, designed by Sedad Hakkı Eldem and Hamdi Şensoy, with the support of Kastamonu Entegre this year.
The ceremony for the Client and Young Architects Awards in the Public and Private Sector categories was attended by guests from the architecture, design, and academic communities.
Speaking at the opening of the ceremony, Kastamonu Entegre Global Marketing Director Talha Aydın highlighted the role of architecture in defining urban identity. He noted that architectural design can enhance aesthetic appeal and enhance functionality, and connect with the human spirit, while fostering safe living spaces and creating shared meeting points for communities. Additionally, he highlighted the significance of architectural works by establishing ties from the past to the future.

Arkitera Client Awards
The Arkitera Employer Award, whose selection committee includes Sevilay Uğur Çekim, Melis Varkal Deligöz, Can Tamirci, and Mert Uslu, was established to underscore the vital role of employers in the production of quality architecture and to encourage investors to develop high-quality buildings and spaces. Two Selection Committee Incentive Awards were also presented this year.
The winners of the Arkitera Client Award Selection Committee Incentive Award were Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality for the Kocaeli Congress Center and Nilüfer Municipality for the Nilüfer Pancar Depot. The Marmara Group was honored with the Client Award in the Private Sector category for the Zeyrek Tiled Bathhouse project, while Tekirdağ Metropolitan Municipality won the Client Award in the Public Sector category for the Tekirdağ Metropolitan Municipality Complex.
Arkitera Young Architect Awards
This year's selection committee of the Arkitera Young Architect Award, which was given for the first time in 2004 to publicize the works and names of young architects and thus to make them more involved in architectural production, was composed of Gönül Ardal, Begüm Yılmaz Bilgin, Ervin Garip, Lebriz Atan Karaatlı and Kerim Miskavi. Ali Burak Yanardağ and Yusuf Burak Dolu were the winners of the Selection Committee Incentive Awards this year. The winners of the Young Architect Awards were Mert Uslu, founder of Mert Uslu Architecture, and Hande Ciğerli, co-founder of Novos Studio.
At the ceremony hosted by Kastamonu Entegre, special gifts were presented to the young architects of the year. The Arkitera Awards ceremony ended with the presentation of appreciation plaques to the jury members and a group photo shoot.
