A First in Turkiye by Kastamonu Entegre:
PureBoard: Recyclable, Healthy and Eco-Friendly Panels
Kastamonu Entegre, Turkiye's leading, Europe's third largest and the world's fourth largest manufacturer of wood-based panels, takes its environmentally friendly and sustainable approach to product development one step further. To exemplify its eco-design approach, the company launches a transformation in living spaces by developing PureBoard, a particleboard made with 100% bio-based adhesives for the first time in Turkiye. Standing out with its no-added formaldehyde (NAF) composition and bio-based adhesive technology, this innovative 100% recyclable product draws attention with its environmentally- and human health-sensitive structure.
PureBoard, playing an active role in fight against climate change
PureBoard, formulated by Kastamonu Entegre with priority given to environmental sustainability, helps protect natural resources by reducing the use of fossil resources. The 100% bio-based adhesives used in production have a low carbon footprint, playing an active role in fight against climate change. Supporting the circular economy, this innovative particleboard is the ideal choice for those who want to live an environmentally-conscious healthy life. This special particleboard conforming to the NAF (No Added Formaldehyde) standard, which means that no formaldehyde is used in the production process and that the emission level is equivalent to that of natural wood, improves indoor air quality by offering the minimum levels of emission compared to conventional boards. PureBoard, which has the lowest emissions compared to conventional particleboard thanks to the contained 100% bio-based adhesives, helps improve LEED ratings and provides a strong option for using environmentally friendly materials.
Innovative solutions for all needs
Meeting sustainability requirements in many areas such as furniture manufacturing, interior design and shop fitting, PureBoard is offered with sanded or melamine faced decorative surface options to cater for different needs.
The PureBoard YL (Particleboard) produced in raw particleboard form offers an ideal option for non-load-bearing applications in dry areas, while the PureBoard MFC produced as melamine faced particleboard caters for aesthetic needs thanks to its different decor and surface options. PureBoard, which stands out with its easy-to-work structure and practical installation advantage, can be produced in thicknesses from 12 to 25 mm.
Offering sustainable, healthy and functional solutions for furniture and interior design, PureBoard sets a new standard in the industry by focusing on circular solutions and bio-based products. As part of this approach, Kastamonu Entegre prioritizes its concept of environmentally friendly production and steers the future of the industry.
