Kastamonu has summed up results of the year 2023

The Kastamonu plant was opened on the territory of the Alabuga SEZ in Tatarstan in 2014. At present, the production capacity of MDF boards is 1.05 million m³, and laminate production is 45 million m² per year. With such indicators, Kastamonu has become the number one manufacturer of MDF and laminate floorings in Russia, as well as the largest production facility located “under one roof” in Europe.

In terms of total volume of investments in 2023, Kastamonu ranks first among residents of the Alabuga SEZ, thousands of jobs were created in Tatarstan directly at the Kastamonu production, as well as in related areas and service industries such as timber cutting, transport, and furniture.

Most of Kastamonu products (about 70%) are sold in Russia, and 30% of all produced materials is exported. For example, laminate floorings are supplied to 10 countries: Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Georgia, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, Belarus, China and Tajikistan. Statistics on laminate sales volumes for the period January-November 2023 is as follows: 56% – Russia, 44% – export; in terms of volume of board materials: 75% – Russia, 25% – export. Compared to 2022, the total share of sales in Russia increased by 10% (based on the results of 11 months of 2023), the results of sales of board materials in Russia and export sales became higher by 16%.

In September 2023, Kastamonu demonstrated a new brand of double-sided ultra-matte decorative panels Evosoft. The collection includes 14 unique decors made in trendy pastel colors, designed to add elegance and luxury to any interior. The coating technology provides reliable protection from scratches and damage, resistance to fingerprints, protection from chemicals, while preserving its original beauty for a long time. The range of Kastamonu decorative panels fully complies with existing fashion trends and includes more than 100 decors. Kastamonu's brand portfolio consists of Evosoft, Evogloss and Acrylic (including Acrymat collection). In 2023, the company received many awards, including for Evogloss products within the 100 Best Products of Russia program.

At present, top-of-the-line laminate lines Floorpan, Sunfloor and Nanoclick include collections from 31 to 34 wear resistance classes with different technical parameters. The leaders in volume of laminate supply among regions in 2023 were the Central (31%), Southern (25%) and Volga (18%) federal districts, in total they account for 74% of products. Next are the Northwestern, Ural, Siberian and North Caucasian federal districts.

A wide distribution network allows Kastamonu to confidently be present in the markets of different countries and meet customer needs. As part of cooperation, the company held more than 60 client events: presentations and seminars, conferences with partners in different cities and regions of the Russian Federation, as well as in the CIS countries, dealer conferences at the Yelabuga plant and working trips to Turkey. The purpose of these events is to promote rapid exchange of information, expand and strengthen partnerships.

Kastamonu monitors the quality of its products on an ongoing basis. In July 2023, the company's laboratories successfully passed certification under the supervision of specialists from the State Regional Center for Standardization, Metrology and Testing of the Republic of Tatarstan, and confirmed their competence in conducting tests (personnel, equipment, methodology) and received appropriate conclusions.
